A Riviera Dream: The "Jè suis Bèlle" Editorial
In the heart of Margaret River, the stunning Chambre Estate was transformed into a modern-day French Riviera garden for "Jè suis Bèlle," a styled soiree curated by the visionary team at The Wedding Concept. The editorial was a beautiful juxtaposition of timeless European romance and contemporary design, creating a vision of soft, sun-drenched elegance.
The color palette was a dreamy blend of 2024's "peach fuzz," creamy butter tones, soft pinks, and gentle greens. Through the lens of Emma Macaulay Photography, the scene came alive—from a romantic ceremony in the olive grove to a chic reception in the maple garden. Florals by Honeybloom Florals cascaded from white urns, with butterfly ranunculus and garden roses adding to the whimsical, romantic atmosphere.
The stationery suite, designed by Felicitations, was the perfect paper complement to this textural story. Elegant invitations on soft, tactile cardstock introduced the theme with modern typography and a romantic, buttery palette. At the reception, chic menus and place cards rested on soft linens, their design incorporating the day's gentle colours and clean aesthetic, creating a seamless link between the styling and the stationery.
This editorial was a masterclass in modern romance—a beautiful story that blended the casual elegance of the Riviera with the wild beauty of the Australian South West, providing endless inspiration for a truly beautiful wedding day.
Design Details
Set against the rolling green surrounds of Chambre Estate, this styled shoot captured the essence of a European-inspired garden gathering — effortlessly romantic, gently sunlit, and infused with soft, playful details. From the first handwritten name card to the final pour of Black Cocky wine, every detail felt intimate, elegant, and quietly joyful.
We designed a stationery suite that played on the organic charm of the vineyard garden setting. Blush-toned menus were illustrated with delicate fruit and florals, while the wavy signage forms echoed the natural curves of the surrounding landscape. The entire collection was tied together with a warm, hand-drawn aesthetic — from the welcome sign to the peach-toned bar menu that read, You never know who you’ll meet at the bar.
The place settings featured layered plates, sculptural cream-toned florals, and taper candles in sun-faded shades of apricot and coral, creating a dreamy, sun-kissed palette. Each guest’s name was written in flowing script on tented cards adorned with tiny illustrated vases — a personal touch that made the setting feel both luxurious and deeply thoughtful.
This shoot was all about casual refinement — stylish, but never overdone. Just like the perfect garden party should be.
