It isn't about the budget. It's about the brief.

Bespoke is for the couple who has a vision no archive can answer to — a venue we need to illustrate from a photograph, a colour story we'd have to invent, a monogram drawn around a shape no one else would think to use. It's for the couple who wants their invitation to be theirs in the most literal sense of the word.

If you've looked at our Felicitations Studio Collection and Tailored Touch and felt something specific is missing — something only you can describe — you're in the right place.

THE EXPERIENCE

What six weeks of bespoke actually looks like.

Week 1 · The brief

A 90-minute Discovery session in our Perth studio (or by video, if interstate). Your story, your venue, your aesthetic, the moments you want translated to paper. We sketch as we talk. You leave knowing exactly how your designer is thinking.

Weeks 2–3 · The concepts

Three original directions, drawn from scratch — not adapted from anything we've made before. Each one a different creative answer to your brief. You choose one.

Weeks 3–5 · The refinement

Up to eight rounds of revisions. Your monogram designed around your initials and your aesthetic. Custom illustration of your venue, your florals, your detail of choice. Paper sourced and tested. Print method matched to the design.

Week 5 · The strike-off

A physical sample of your finished invitation, printed on the final paper, in the final method, by the same hands that will print your full run. You hold it before you commit to printing the rest.

Week 6 · Hand-assembly

Your suites hand-tied, sealed, and assembled in our Perth studio. Stacked in a way that feels like opening a wedding gift before your guests even tear the envelope. Boxed and dispatched.

Two craft moments worth naming.

Your monogram, drawn for you.

Not pulled from a font. Not adapted from a template. Your initials drawn — with pencil, then ink, then digital — around the way you want to feel on your wedding day. Heritage, modern, romantic, architectural. It becomes the through-line that ties save-the-date to invitation to menu to thank-you card.

The strike-off you hold before the print run.

Most studios print straight from approved digital proof. We don't. Bespoke gets a physical strike-off — your finished invitation, on the final paper, in the final ink, pressed by the same machine that will press the run. You hold it. You feel it. Then we print the rest.

This is the single most expensive thing we do, and the single reason no Bespoke client has ever been surprised by their final suite.

25 years. Not one unhappy client.

The Love-It-or-Leave-It Guarantee.

Bespoke is the most ambitious work we do, and the work most likely to test a guarantee. So here's how ours holds up:

If you don't love any of your three concepts — your deposit is refunded in full.
If after refinement the proof doesn't make you stop — credit toward a different direction or refunded in full.
If the strike-off arrives and something feels off — we adjust before printing, no print invoice issued until it's right.

The risk is ours, at every stage. It always has been.

Six Bespoke commissions per quarter. That's it.

Each Bespoke commission requires roughly forty hours of senior designer time. Between our two senior designers, that means six commissions per quarter is our ceiling — not a marketing decision.

What our Bespoke clients say.

Our invitation hangs framed in our entrance hall now. My mother asked if she could have one to frame too. That's not something I imagined I'd say about a wedding invitation. The custom illustration of the chapel — I cried when I saw the strike-off.

— Sophia & EdwardPeppermint Grove, October 2025

We came in with a venue Felicitations had never seen — a private property in the Hills, no formal name, no public photos. Six weeks later we had a custom illustration of the gum trees on our property as the backdrop of every piece of stationery. Twenty years from now I'll still know exactly what week of my life that was.

— EleanorDalkeith, June 2025

I'd seen Bespoke wedding stationery from London studios costing twice as much. Felicitations isn't trying to compete with them — they're better. Letterpress on Gmund Cotton, hand-tied with silk ribbon, monogram designed around my middle initial because of a family detail. They listened in a way that no one over email ever has.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from Tailored Touch with custom illustration added?

Tailored Touch starts with a design that already exists in our archive and adapts it. Bespoke starts with a blank page and three original concepts designed only for you. The custom illustration is one element. The deeper difference is that nothing about the suite — the layout, the typographic system, the rhythm between pieces, the print method — is borrowed from anywhere. It's drawn from scratch around your brief.

Can you really design anything?

Yes — within the constraints of what we can print well in our Perth studio. We've done venues illustrated from a photograph the bride took on her phone, monograms built around a family crest, suites that combined letterpress with laser-cut acrylic in the same piece. If you have a specific vision, bring it to Discovery and we'll tell you honestly whether it's something we can execute beautifully.

What's the typical full commission cost?

Most Bespoke commissions land between $4,500 and $12,000 depending on quantity, techniques used, and scope of additional pieces. Your $660 design deposit covers the design phase. Print invoice is sent after strike-off approval, based on your final quantity and finishing choices.

Can the timeline be compressed?

Sometimes — but compression always costs something. We won't shorten the strike-off stage, and we won't reduce revision rounds without your written agreement. If you're inside ten weeks of your wedding, book Discovery and we'll give you an honest read on what's possible.

How do I know my invitation will feel like an heirloom and not just a wedding expense?

Three things: the paper (hand-deckled, archival, made to outlast cardstock by a century or more), the printing (letterpress and foil are physical impressions in the paper itself, not ink applied to a surface), and the originality (no one else has it). Most of our Bespoke clients frame at least one piece. That's the tell.

Do you ship outside Perth?

Yes — Australia-wide and internationally. Bespoke commissions always ship via tracked, insured courier with hand-delivery confirmation.

What's involved in the Discovery session if I'm interstate?

A 90-minute video call instead of in-studio. Same depth of brief, same designer, same outcome. We post sample papers and prior strike-offs to you ahead of the call so you can feel the materials in your hands while we talk.
